Announcing the summer Artist Soapbox Creative Accountability Group

Facilitated by Mara Thomas and Tamara Kissane

  • Join a small group of highly-motivated artist/creators in a supportive environment and take regular action in your creative work.
  • Set achievable goals, participate in a private Facebook group, and meet once weekly for 5 weeks.
  • Consider the creative obstacles and creative resources in your life that affect making your work.
  • Leverage the power of the group to take one more step toward finding your creative voice.

The cost for participation in this group is $100 per person and is limited to 8 participants. This will be the last CA group of 2018, so come join us!

Because of the group nature, a commitment is required. We’re looking for highly-motivated people who are willing to ask for — and give — help and support, and are willing to show up. One of the group’s goals is to encourage regular action from each member. Everyone will post weekly goals, and report back at the end of the week on what they did and didn’t achieve. [There’s no shaming or penalty for falling short of goals (that’s how we learn), but a good-faith effort is required. Since you set your goal, you choose the amount of time you can accommodate in your life.] Questions? artistsoapbox@gmail.com

Dates: Tuesdays on July 31, August 7, 14, 21, 28 from 7:30-9:30pm

Location: NC Center for Resiliency, 1829 E. Franklin Street, 1100-D, Chapel Hill, NC  27514

Cost: $100*; limited to 8 participants
