The Declaration of Love Project is an anthology of 11 short audio pieces written by North Carolina playwrights all inspired by the same writing prompt — “declaration of love.”

Episode 3, written by Karyn Raynor is titled Agape.

Terra awakens in a strange place with a new acquaintance who presents her with the decision of a lifetime. Strap in for a taste of Buck Rogers meets 2020.

Karyn Raynor (Playwright, Agape): Karyn is a podcaster, writer, and theater artist who resides in the Triangle. This is her first produced audio drama and she is so excited to have it released to the public. She wants to thank her best friend and podcast cohost Aubree (check out the podcast Chick-Lit), and her husband Judson for their continued support.

Jessica Flemming (Actor, Agape): Jessica is an actor, singer, stage manager, and theatre educator. With over 20 years experience, Jessica has worked with many wonderful artists and makers from across the country. Most recently she has worked with Curious Theatre Collective, Women’s Theatre Festival, Bulldog Theater Ensemble, and Bare Theatre. Jessica plays Gworp in Agape.

Sarah Koop (Actor, Agape): Sarah is a Raleigh native and local theatre artist. She has worked with companies like the Women’s Theatre Festival, Manbites Dog Theatre Company, and Justice Theatre Project. You can keep track with her and her future projects on @sarahk00p. Sarah plays Terra in Agape.

Master Builder

This audio drama was adapted from Tamara’s 2018 stage play produced by Little Green Pig Theatrical Concern and inspired by Henrick Ibsen’s classic, The Master Builder published in 1892.


Declaration of Love

Co-producers Aurelia Belfield and Tamara Kissane of Artist Soapbox commissioned eleven NC playwrights to craft short audio scenes based on the prompt “Declaration of Love.”


Food for Thought

Three pilot episodes of new scripted audio fiction series inspired by the prompt Food for Thought.


ASBX Shorts

ASBX Shorts are six short audio fiction pieces created and produced by North Carolina artists. Artist Soapbox Shorts were specifically contributed by the artists to aid in fundraising and to get everyone excited about Jesus Pancake, our new audio fiction series in development.
