044: What I learned from 40 years of not being famous: PART TWO. Respect the Work.

The second installment of a multi-part series in which Tamara considers how we might love the artists we are and support the artists we love. A solo episode!

What habits and practices can we cultivate to promote a culture of respect in the arts community?

On July 8th, earlier this year, Tamara invited a group of artists to dig into the concept of RESPECT(ing) THE WORK. The goals for that gathering were to get a sense of what people experience and then consider what could be. You’ll hear from some of those participants throughout this episode. Special thanks to that group and to Shadowbox Studio for hosting us. This episode is a result of that gathering.

So…what do YOU think?

What do we need to do as artists and audience members to create a culture and practice of RESPECTING THE WORK of artists in our community? What are you going to do?

Mentioned: Episode 029: What I learned from 40 years of not being famous: PART ONE. Define and redefine success.
